Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Engineer – Sutton - £40,000 - £50,000 + Company Van + Bonus
**F-Gas Category 1 qualification – Essential **
Prize Placements are looking for an experienced and reliable Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our key client based in Sutton, Surrey.
This is a mobile role, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding and reactive breakdown works across a wide range of commercial client sites, including bakeries, gyms, retail premises and other commercial environments.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing their own workload and representing the company professionally while on customer sites.
A company van will be provided, together with the support and equipment required to carry out the role.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
* Attend reactive call-outs and breakdowns.
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
* Service, maintain and repair a variety of AC and refrigeration systems.
* Identify additional remedial works and report recommendations back to the office.
* Complete electronic job sheets and service documentation accurately and promptly following each visit.
* Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with current legislation and industry standards.
* Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle to a good standard.
* Manage parts and materials required for allocated jobs.
* Be prepared to travel to different customer sites as required.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* F-Gas Category 1 qualification – essential.
* Previous experience working as an Air Conditioning and/or Refrigeration Engineer.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Experience carrying out both planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to work independently

* When staying away overnight, reasonable subsistence/meal expenses will be reimbursed up to £20 per night, subject to receipts being provided.
* 20 days annual holiday plus Bank Holidays.
* Company pension scheme after successfully completing 3 months' employment, subject to eligibility.
* Full-time, permanent position.
