Job Title: Air Hygiene / Fire Damper
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary/Benefits: £25K - £40K DOE including Training & Benefits
This growing and successful company is looking for a smart Air Hygiene / Fire Damper to work out of their Northern office. Candidates will be covering contracts across the M1 and M62 and will be able to hit the ground running completing various tasks like inspections on fire dampers, rigorous cleans and write up detailed report. Experience / Qualifications:
- Experience working as an Air Hygiene / Fire Damper in a specialist company
- Beneficial to hold the CSCS card and ideally the BESA Fire Damper Testing & Installation certificate
- Happy to travel in line with company requirements
- Motivated and meticulous
- Strong IT and literacy skills in order to write up service reports
- Well informed of TR19, BS9999 and relevant Health & Safety guidelines
The Role:
- Inspect and test fire dampers and ventilation systems such as kitchen extracts, canopies and AHUs
- Keep pre and post work photographs and notes for accurate and precise reports
- Liaising with clients to schedule visits and provide technical advice like appropriate repairs
- Carry out extensive surveys on ductwork systems and evaluate the safety & functionality
- Undertake rigorous cleans on systems
- Cover various client sites: food & beverage, commercial, manufacturing and industrial
- Adaptable to work independently and as a team
