Air Freight Coordinator - Central London - Up to £35,000
An established freight forwarding provider is seeking an experienced Air Freight Coordinator to join its London-based team. With a strong reputation for customer service, the company is looking for someone who can ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective shipment handling from booking through to final delivery.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with a passion for logistics and a solid background in UK air freight operations.
Job type: Permanent
Standard working hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day air freight export operations
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, overseas agents, and airline partners
Coordinate collection and delivery arrangements, ensuring timely and compliant shipment movement
Provide accurate and competitive quotations to customers and global partners
Prepare and verify all relevant shipping and customs documentation
Liaise with customs brokers to facilitate clearance processes for both imports and exports
Monitor ongoing shipments and proactively resolve any service disruptions or delays
Maintain accurate operational records using Cargowise (training provided if needed)
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum 4 years' experience in freight forwarding/logistics operations within the UK
Solid understanding of air freight procedures, including airline routings and UK suppliers
Knowledge of UK customs clearance processes for both exports and imports
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work well under pressure
Experience working with Cargowise (or similar TMS)
