The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication processes, including the ability to work with hand tools and power tools effectively. This role involves fabricating and assembling components, primarily using sheet metal, while ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Duties
* Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and drawings.
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
* Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, to join metal parts securely.
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication.
* Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations necessary for fabrication tasks.
Experience
* Proven experience in a fabrication role or similar position is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
* Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques is advantageous.
* Experience in welding processes, particularly stick welding, is essential.
* Ability to use hand tools and power tools proficiently is required.
* A solid understanding of basic maths principles as they relate to measurements and calculations in fabrication work.
