This exciting Analytical Chemist opportunity would be well suited to an Analyst with several years' experience using GC-MS or GC-FID in industry looking to secure a role in a fantastic business who place significant emphasis on employee wellbeing.

Role / Description
Analytical testing of speciality chemicals using GC-FID and GC-MS instrumentation
Reverse engineering of competitor chemicals to determine composition
Carrying out a variety of extraction techniques for sample preparation
Maintenance and troubleshooting of GC-MS and GC-FID instruments
Investigating any OOS or OOT results
Ordering supplies and general housekeeping of the laboratory.Requirements
Recently graduated with a degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Forensic Science, Natural Sciences or similar
Industrial experience using GC-FID or GC-MS techniques
Experience in an ISO accredited laboratory would be highly advantageous
An obvious passion for analytical chemistry
Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a multitude of departments
Able to multi-task and change priorities quickly depending on business need.
