Animal Technician
We are working with a leading research institute based on the outskirts of London. Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Animal Technician to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and operational standards of our cutting-edge research facility.
Responsibilities:
* Adhering to animal health barrier procedures to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and biosecurity
* Daily husbandry of animals
* Carrying out health checks on small animals
* general maintenance of the facility
* Handling cage preparation, distribution, and general housekeeping duties within the facility
What we’re looking for:
* A minimum of 5 A*-C or 9-4 GCSEs or an equivalent qualification in science
* A genuine interest in animal care and welfare
* Computer literacy, with the ability to use databases and systems for record-keeping
* The ability to handle and move bulky or heavy items on a daily basis
* Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic research environment
* Experience working in a similar environment
