Progress Teachers are delighted to be working with a dedicated alternative provision in Northamptonshire, supporting their search for a passionate Alternative Provision (AP) Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young people who have experienced challenges in mainstream education.
About the Role
As an AP Teacher, you’ll inspire and guide small groups of KS3 and KS4 students through personalised learning experiences that meet their individual needs. Your work will focus on:

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across core subjects (English, Maths & Science).
*
Supporting students with additional social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
*
Tracking progress and setting clear, achievable learning goals.
*
Creating a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
*
Working collaboratively with support and pastoral teams to encourage holistic development and re-engagement with education.
About You
You’ll be someone who thrives on making connections and embracing challenges — patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education.
Ideally, you will have:

QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) – or be willing to work towards it.
*
Experience teaching KS3 or KS4, ideally within an alternative provision or SEN environment.
*
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
*
A compassionate approach that builds trust and motivates learners.
