Job Description
White Label is representing an engineering and manufacturing business based in Pontefract who require an Applications Engineer to join their team.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping bespoke engineered solutions, ensuring each proposal meets both technical and commercial requirements. You’ll work closely with internal teams across sales, engineering, projects, and production to produce accurate, well-costed quotations using an in-house estimating system.

* Salary is dependent on experience
* 37.5 hours with an early finish on Fridays
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays with this increasing with years of service

Responsibilities of the Applications Engineer
* Analyse client specifications, drawings, and tender documents to determine scope and requirements
* Review electrical schematics and layout drawings.
* Where required will produce proposal 2D drawings for customer review, using AutoCAD.
* Support the sales team with accurate and compliant technical proposals.
* Liaise directly with customers, consultants, and contractors.
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Experience required of the Applications Engineer
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Experience in the Electrical or Mechanical Engineering field.
* Experience in reading technical drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and technical curiosity.
* Experience In the steel manufacturing industry (desirable but not essential)
* Proficient in 2D AutoCAD (desirable but not essential)
