Day rate - £425 day (Outside IR35)

About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Regional Deputy Appointed Person (Lifting Coordinator) to work closely with the lifting team on a Open Cycle Gas Turbine project, inspecting the lifting activities and making amendments and changes when required to do so.
Role responsibilities for the Regional Deputy Appointed Person:
Plan all lifting operations so they are carried out safely with foreseeable risks taken into account.
The person appointed to plan the lifting operation should have adequate practical and theoretical knowledge and experience of the lifts being undertaken.
The lifting plans across the several projects will need to address the risks identified by a risk assessment, the resources required, procedures and the responsibilities so that any lifting operation is carried out safely.
The lifting plans should ensure that the lifting equipment remains safe for the range of lifting operations for which the equipment might be used.
Planning safe slinging and signalling arrangements across all projects.
Maintenance and examination of the crane and equipment;
Provide supervision of operations by personnel having the necessary authority to work onsite.
Provide thorough examinations, reports and other documents for all lifting activities across all UK projects.
Prevent unauthorised movement or use of the crane; and
Implement safety plans for all sites to secure safety of persons not involved in the lifting.
Qualifications and skills required for this role:
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training)
CSCS appointed person cert
NEBOSH
Health and Safety qualifications for Occupational Health and Safety
CDM regulations knowledge
