Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Approved Electrician to carry out electrical installation, maintenance, on a commercial project. The successful candidate will be fully conversant with current wiring regulations and capable of working independently or supervising junior staff on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Perform installation, maintenance, fault-finding, of electrical systems.
*
Work in accordance with the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
*
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
*
Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
*
Certify and sign off on electrical work, completing relevant documentation (EIC, MEIWC, EICR).
*
Supervise and mentor apprentices or less experienced electricians when required.
*
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and delivery of projects.
*
Attend site meetings and toolbox talks as required.
*
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in a safe and serviceable condition.
Required Qualifications & Certifications:
*
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
*
AM2 Assessment.
*
ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician status).
*
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
*
Full UK driving licence (if applicable).
*
Gold ECS card
*
IPAF Card is a plus
*
Recent DBS Check
Skills & Experience:
*
Minimum of 3–5 years post-qualification experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
*
Excellent understanding of current electrical legislation, standards, and regulations.
*
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
*
Good communication skills and professional attitude.
*
Experience working in commercial and/or industrial environments is highly desirable.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilitiesBefore You Apply
