Job Description
Job Title: Approved Electrician (Mobile)
Location: Nottinghamshire
Hours: Full-time, 8‑hour shifts
Salary: DOE + Overtime + Vehical
Role Summary
You will serve as a certified electrician, executing a variety of electrical tasks across multiple sites. The role is mobile in nature. You’ll be out on the road, visiting work locations, diagnosing issues, performing installations, repairs, and maintenance. You’ll need to work independently, deliver quality workmanship, and ensure safety compliance at all times.
Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings or sites
*
Diagnose electrical faults, carry out testing and inspection
*
Follow wiring diagrams, schematics, technical specifications
*
Ensure all work adheres to regulatory and safety standards (electrical codes, health & safety)
*
Maintain accurate job records, report progress and any issues
*
Travel between sites and manage time effectively
*
Liaise with clients or site contacts on technical matters
*
Assist with periodic inspection and testing, documentation, and certification
Qualifications & Experience
*
JIB (or equivalent) electrical certification / approval
*
At least 1 year of hands-on electrical experience (preferred)
*
Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, fault‑finding
*
Ability to read technical drawings and specification documents
*
Good organisational and time‑management skills
*
Self-motivated, able to work independently and responsibly
*
Clean driving licence (due to travel between sites)
Additional Requirements
*
Ability to reliably commute to locations within Nottinghamshire, or willingness to relocate before starting
*
Comfortable with a mobile, field‑based working pattern
*
Good communication skills and client‑facing ability
*
A commitment to safety and best practice
