Job Description

Job Purpose Due to continued expansion, on behalf of our Client we are looking to recruit APPROVED ELECTRICIANS in the Inverness area.   Responsibilities Carry out electrical installations, repairs and inspections at various industrial premises including but not limited to: install and terminate industrial containment systems (e.g. tray, trunking, conduit, ladder rack); wire and connect heavy-duty motors, control panels and machinery Diagnose and rectify problems Perform testing, fault-finding and commissioning of industrial electrical systems Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and site drawings Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, engineers and other on-site trades. Complete relevant reports Work in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, SJIB codes of practice and customer site specific rules  Requirements: Successful completion of the FICA Achieved SVQ Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation or satisfactorily completed an equivalent course of study approved by the SJIB Up to date with current standard BS7671, 18th Edition BS7671 ECS grading card Proven experience on industrial sites (e.g. factories, plants, warehouses). Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and safe isolation procedures.
