Job Description

Arc Welder - Contract Position

We are currently looking for an experienced Arc Welder to join a well-known and respected engineering company based in Poole. This is a contract position starting Monday 2nd November.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out Arc (MMA) welding on steel components to a high standard.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
Inspect and assess completed welds to ensure quality, durability, and compliance with required standards.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship while meeting production and project deadlines.
Follow all relevant health & safety procedures and company quality standards.
Work effectively as part of a team within a busy engineering environment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Time-served Welder/Fabricator with proven Arc/MMA welding experience.
Strong experience welding steel using the Arc/MMA welding process.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Good understanding of welding procedures, quality standards, and inspection requirements.
Strong awareness of health & safety practices.
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Full rights to work in the UK.
Able to travel to Poole daily for the duration of the contract
