Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Inspire and Lead: Motivate a diverse team to achieve excellence while nurturing a supportive studio culture that reflects our core values.
Mentor Future Leaders: Work closely with junior members to foster their growth and technical skills.
Collaborative Resource Planning: Strategically allocate resources and oversee team performance alongside other senior leaders.Sector Development & Work Winning:
Drive Growth: Identify emerging business opportunities within education and healthcare, ensuring our practice remains at the forefront.
Nurture Relationships: Build lasting connections with clients and stakeholders to enhance our market presence.
Deliver Excellence: Lead the preparation of compelling bids and presentations, securing high-profile projects.Project Oversight & Delivery:
Ensure Success: Oversee all aspects of project delivery, maintaining adherence to quality, budget, and timelines across RIBA stages.
Design Direction: Provide strategic guidance, particularly for complex or high-impact projects.
Sustainability Focus: Champions innovative and sustainable design practices across all projects.
Requirements:
Essential:
Chartered Architect (ARB and RIBA) with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
Proven leadership in the education and/or healthcare architecture sector.
Strong track record in winning and delivering projects.
Excellent people management and communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of UK regulations and procurement processes relevant to education and healthcare
Comprehensive understanding of UK planning, building regulations, and procurement processes including technical knowledge of Healthcare HBNs and HTMs, Education DfE bulletins and DfE independent School Standards,
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure,
Proven experience using ArchiCAD, AutoCAD Architectural and Twin Motion graphic softwareDesirable:
Experience with BIM Level 2 environments and existing client networks in education and healthcare.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of fee structures.
