Senior Architect or Experienced Part II - Future Director Opportunity
Location: Near Maidenhead
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE. Future bonus or profit share arrangements are possible, depending on role progression and contribution.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent | Office-based 4 days/week initially
Talent Forte is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run architecture and construction practice based near Maidenhead. They're looking for an experienced Architect (Part III or confident Part II) to join their small, collaborative team in a senior capacity-with a clear route to future Directorship for the right person.
This is a rare opportunity to become part of a business, not just a team. If you're looking to take full ownership of projects, understand how budgets shape real-world delivery, and grow into a leadership role with long-term potential, this could be exactly what you're after.
The practice delivers high-quality residential and commercial schemes from £100k to £3m, and you'll have full transparency on costs and project viability throughout. You'll work directly with the Director (30+ years' experience), guide junior staff, and take projects from concept through to completion on site.
It's ideal for someone currently commuting into London who wants more autonomy, less red tape, and a role where your input genuinely shapes the business.
Role Highlights:
Lead projects from design through planning, technical stages and on-site delivery
Handle consultant coordination and planning submissions
Produce and oversee working drawing packages (AutoCAD essential)
Liaise closely with the in-house construction team
Support and mentor junior team members
Contribute to the long-term direction of the practice
Candidate Profile:
ARB-registered Architect (Part III) or highly experienced Part II
At least 8 years' experience in UK-based residential or mixed-use projects
Deep understanding of Building Regs, planning policy, and technical delivery
Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit a plus)
Within a commutable distance of Maidenhead and happy to be office-based 4 days/week
Practical, delivery-focused and comfortable with real-world construction
