We believe in hiring, mentoring, and retaining the best talent to ensure quality and consistency throughout our projects.The RoleWe’re looking for an experienced Architectural Designer to take responsibility for developing creative, functional design solutions that meet both client and Maris Contracts’ objectives. Reporting to the Project Director and Managing Director, you’ll manage and coordinate design from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment between client expectations, design intent and project delivery.What You’ll Be Doing🎨 Assessing project design requirements and delivering practical, high-quality solutions📐 Managing and coordinating drawing packages through RIBA stages 2–5 (or equivalent Maris stages)🤝 Liaising with internal teams and consultants to maintain design consistency🗣 Attending client presentations and meetings to communicate design ideas📏 Creating space plans and test fits💡 Ensuring design cost, and construction teams remain fully aligned throughout the project🏗 Supporting the build team to ensure successful implementation and design integrity on site🚨 Upholding Health and Safety standards, including compliance with CDM requirements and building regulationsWhat We’re Looking For✅ Fully qualified Architect with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the commercial interiors industry✅ Proven ability to pitch, design and deliver projects up to £20m✅ Strong working knowledge of building codes and regulations✅ Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit (to a high standard)✅ Confident in hand sketching and design presentation✅ Excellent communication and coordination skills with a client-focused mindset✅ Positive, proactive attitude and ability to collaborate at all levels✅ Experience in design and build project pitching and work-winningWhy Join Us?🌴 Generous holiday package with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, Christmas period off and every last working Friday off each month with pay day☕ On-site coffee shop – Free breakfast, tea, coffee and fresh fruit all day💰 Salary sacrifice pension scheme – Maris Contracts contributes 15% savings to your pension scheme🛡️ Life assurance – 3x salary after 12 months’ service🏥 Employee Assistance Programme – 24/7 online GP service plus mental, financial, and physical wellbeing supportBefore You Apply
