Architectural Designer
Responsible to Project Director, Managing Director, Maris Contracts

General responsibility Provide design solutions and creative ideas that meet both Client and Maris Contracts’
objectives. Manage and coordinate the overall design solution to project completion.
Specific responsibilities • Assess project design requirements and provide fit for purpose solutions
commensurate with Maris Contracts’ and Clients’ standards
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of how to run the Client journey as well as
following an internal process
• Manage the coordination of all drawing packages during the development of the
Riba stage 2, 3, 4 & 5 pack or Maris stages of works
• Liaise and coordinate with Design in the development of the design in the case of
joint project
• Attend all relevant Client presentations and meetings
• Space Planning including test-fits
• Responsible for production of (but not creation of) Contract drawing packages
• Work closely to ensure all parties are fully aligned with cost and design
• Work with project build team to ensure successful project implementation
• Monitor work on site to ensure standards are maintained
• Continuously monitor and improve Maris Contracts’ systems and standards
• Ensure the highest standards of Health and Safety within the company, including
adherence of all CDM requirements
• Adhering to building control and building regulations
• To comply with all company policies and procedures that relate to anti-bribery,
quality, environment and health and safety.
Skills / experience required • Fully qualified Architect
• 5+ years commercial interiors industry experience with proven ability to pitch
design and build projects of up to £20m
• Working knowledge of all requirements and codes
• Adobe Creative Suite
• AutoCAD and Revit to high standard
• Hand sketching
• Passion for design
• Positive can do attitude and ability to deal with people at all levels
