Architectural Technician / Technologist
📍 Location: Torquay, Devon
💰 Salary: Up to £40,000 + Package

Due to a strong pipeline of residential projects, our client – a small, well-regarded architectural practice based in Torquay – is seeking a self-sufficient and experienced Architectural Technician or Technologist to join their close-knit team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to take ownership of projects and work closely with some of the UK’s leading PLC housebuilders 🏗️, as well as a select number of smaller regional developers.

Long-standing relationships with national and regional developers
🎯 The Role:
As an Architectural Technician / Technologist, you’ll be responsible for:
*
📝 Producing Working Drawing House Type Packs for national housebuilder clients
*
🛠️ Running projects from technical design through to delivery
*
🤝 Liaising directly with client-side technical teams
*
🔧 Managing your workload autonomously while contributing to a supportive team culture
*
✅ Ensuring high levels of accuracy and compliance with current regulations
🧠 What You’ll Need:
*
✅ Proven experience working in residential architecture – ideally with or for national housebuilders
*
💻 Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD is essential
*
🔄 Ability to work independently and run multiple projects simultaneously
*
📚 Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and the technical design process
*
🗣️ Strong communication skills for dealing with client technical teams
