Job Description

Company Information: We are partnered with a leading independent ophthalmic company, that developed a large and complete ophthalmic pharmaceutical portfolio looking for a Area Sales Manager to support the South East territory. Role overview: The role involves managing and growing the Ophthalic portfolio in the defined territory, working with independent pharmacies. Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales goals by executing strategic plans and identifying growth opportunities. Develop Key Customer Relationships: Build strong, long-term partnerships by understanding customer needs, environments, and key stakeholders. Drive Account Strategy: Create and implement tailored account plans that deliver mutual value and align with overall business objectives. Lead Effective Customer Engagements: Conduct impactful, goal-oriented meetings that progress account objectives and strengthen partnerships. Maintain Accurate Customer Records: Ensure all customer data is current and complete, using it to support planning, reporting, and execution. Grow Business in Territory: Develop and execute a territory business plan, identifying opportunities and addressing gaps proactively. Stay Informed: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, competitors, and market trends to enhance effectiveness and credibility. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Support) to align efforts and maximize customer value. Person specification: Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales targets and manage a diverse product portfolio. Clinical and Data Expertise: Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to present, analyze, and apply clinical and business data. Account Management Skills: Experienced in managing territory business with an account-focused approach and strategic planning. Independent and Accountable: Self-driven, able to work independently, and take full ownership of results in a dynamic environment. Strong Communicator: Excellent selling, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build key relationships. Adaptable and Solutions-Focused: Positive, flexible, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills and a business-minded approach. Package: £30,000 to £45,000 Hours - 37.5 per week Holidays: 25 days per annum + statutory BH Bonus - Can expect to earn 15-20% of salary depending on individual sales performance Company car (BMW 3 series, Peugeot 508 or equivalent on our car list) or car allowance £525 per month Company Pension Scheme (up to 5% matched by company), minimum contributions by employee 4% under auto-enrolment rules Company Healthcare Scheme Death in service (x 3 salary)
