Job Description

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth of the company’s flooring products (including LVT, carpet, laminate, and hardwood ranges) within a defined geographical territory. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers, distributors, contractors, architects, and specifiers, while delivering against sales and revenue targets. Key Responsibilities * Manage and grow sales across the assigned region through proactive business development. * Develop strong, long-term relationships with key customers (retailers, distributors, contractors, and design/specifier contacts). * Achieve and exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and territory KPIs. * Identify new business opportunities within the flooring sector and convert them into active accounts. * Deliver product presentations, training, and demonstrations to customers. * Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer requirements to inform sales strategy. * Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in line with company policies. * Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers. * Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery. * Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer information via CRM systems. Skills & Competencies * Excellent sales, negotiation, and account management skills. * Strong communication and presentation abilities. * Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. * Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently in the field. * Organised with strong time and territory management skills. * Commercially aware, with knowledge of the interiors/building products market. * IT literate with CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency. Experience & Qualifications * Previous sales experience within flooring, building products, or interiors (essential). * Experience in managing a defined geographical territory. * Knowledge of LVT, carpet, laminate, hardwood, or commercial flooring products (desirable). * Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. * Full UK driving licence
