They are seeking an Area Sales Manager to grow and support business across the South West and South Wales, partnering with clients in sectors such as Water & Wastewater, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Aggregates & Quarrying, Marine, Energy, and Materials Handling.
Key Responsibilities
*
Develop and manage relationships with OEMs, End Users, and System Integrators within your territory.
*
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities to drive regional sales growth.
*
Deliver high-quality technical and commercial presentations to audiences from engineering teams to board-level decision makers.
*
Collaborate with Business Development, Inside Sales, and Applications teams to maximise opportunities.
*
Track prospects, manage quotations, tenders, and follow through to order placement.
*
Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
*
Prepare monthly reports, forecasts, and updates for sales meetings.
*
Ensure all activities align with the company’s business ethics and trade compliance standards.
Candidate Requirements
*
Degree or qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering (HND or equivalent considered).
*
Proven experience in rotating equipment, motors, gearboxes, or wider power transmission.
*
Strong track record in technical sales and customer account management.
*
Excellent new business development skills.
*
Understanding of applications in industries such as Water & Wastewater, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Aggregates, Marine, and Energy.
*
Ability to travel regularly across the South West and South Wales.
