Area Sales Representative - PLANT/TOOL EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Various Roles Depending on Location Covering: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Kilmarnock, Inverness and Motherwell
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 + Bonus + Company Car
Full-Time | Permanent | Field-Based
The Role:
We’re on the lookout for an ambitious and driven Area Sales Representative (ASR) to join a high-performing team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll play a key role in growing revenue across your region - developing existing customer relationships and securing new business opportunities.
This is a field-based sales role, covering key areas across Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Kilmarnock, Inverness, and Motherwell. While travel is essential, we’re flexible on your home base – what matters most is your energy, experience, and drive to succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Maximising hire revenue from existing accounts and building new business pipelines
* Developing strong, lasting relationships at site and office level
* Attending depot/customer trade events and networking opportunities to promote our equipment solutions
* Collaborating with stakeholders across the business – including our Major Accounts teams – to identify new hire opportunities
* Working closely with the wider sales and operational teams to deliver outstanding service and results
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring:
* Proven experience in an area sales role, ideally within plant hire, construction, or a related industry
* A consistent track record of exceeding sales targets and growing revenue
* Confident, professional communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
* Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Tech-savvy with working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) and CRM systems
* A full UK driving licence – essential due to regional travel
