We are looking for an Art and Design Teacher to work within an ambitious and creative independent school near Frome, Somerset.

A progressive independent school near Frome is seeking a highly motivated and creative Art and Design Teacher to join a dynamic arts faculty from September 2025. This is a school with a deep appreciation for the visual arts and an environment that encourages experimentation, contemporary practices, and interdisciplinary approaches.
You will be responsible for teaching across all key stages, with a focus on GCSE and A-Level Art and Design. The department features a digital suite, ceramics studio, darkroom, and 3D workshop. Pupils regularly win regional art prizes and go on to study at top art schools and universities.
The school is looking for a confident practitioner with an ability to teach both traditional and digital methods. Experience with curation, exhibition work, and portfolio preparation would be highly advantageous.
Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Fine Art or Design and QTS or comparable experience
• A strong personal artistic practice
• Ability to teach to A-Level standard with enthusiasm and clarity
