Art and Design Teacher Location: Hull Salary: M1 – UPS3 per annum (Depending on Experience) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time Are you a creative and passionate Art and Design Teacher looking to inspire young minds? GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art and Design Teacher to join schools in Hull. This role is perfect for someone who wants to encourage creativity, build confidence, and develop pupils’ artistic skills across the curriculum. As an Art and Design Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that foster creativity and critical thinking. You will inspire pupils to explore a range of artistic techniques, materials, and styles while supporting their personal and academic growth. You will also collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality learning experiences for all students. Responsibilities of an Art and Design Teacher: Plan and deliver high-quality Art and Design lessons in line with the curriculum. Encourage pupils to develop creativity, imagination, and artistic skills. Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Maintain classroom resources and prepare materials for lessons. Support pupils’ social and emotional development through creative projects. Promote engagement in extracurricular art activities and school exhibitions. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance learning outcomes. Encourage pupils to experiment with different media, techniques, and artistic styles. Keep up to date with curriculum changes and professional development in Art and Design.  Teacher of Art and Design Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching Art and Design in a UK school setting. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art and Design. Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to inspire creativity and encourage independent learning. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education. Why choose GSL?
