Art Teacher – Inspire Creativity & Confidence in SEMH Students
Based in Blandford Forum | KS3–KS4 | Full-Time
Are you a passionate and creative Art Teacher looking to make a real impact? We are seeking a dedicated and imaginative Art Teacher to join our specialist team, working with KS3 and KS4 students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the Role:
You’ll deliver engaging and therapeutic art lessons, helping students achieve meaningful outcomes through GCSE Art or the Arts Award. This is a chance to use your creativity to unlock potential, boost confidence, and support emotional wellbeing in a nurturing environment.
We’re Looking For:
A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience working with students with additional needs – SEMH experience is highly desirable
Someone with a passion for art and the ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of needs and abilities
A team player who values collaboration and pastoral support
What You’ll Be Doing:
Teaching Art GCSE or Arts Award to small classes
Building strong, trusting relationships with students
Creating a safe, inspiring learning space where students feel confident to express themselves
Supporting students’ emotional development as well as academic progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
