SEN Art Teacher – Full-Time Role in Andover (Autism Specialist) Position: SEN Art and Design Teacher Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) Location: Andover Pay: £160 - £240 per day, depending on experience About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Art and Design Teacher to join a dedicated special educational needs (SEN) school in the Andover area. This full-time position begins in September 2025 and focuses on supporting students aged 11–16 with autism spectrum conditions (ASC). You will deliver engaging, sensory-based art lessons tailored to a range of needs and abilities, helping students express themselves creatively and build confidence in a supportive, structured environment. About the School: This specialist setting is committed to providing high-quality, individualised education for young people with autism and associated learning needs. The school offers excellent facilities, including adapted art spaces and therapeutic support, and fosters a collaborative and inclusive team culture. Ideal Candidate: Experienced in teaching Art and Design, ideally within a SEN or alternative provision setting. Knowledgeable about autism and strategies to support students with ASC in the classroom. Creative, patient, and empathetic, with a passion for inclusive education. Skilled in differentiated teaching and adapting lesson plans to suit individual learning profiles. Confident in classroom and behaviour management within a SEN context. Committed to promoting student wellbeing and self-expression through the arts. A team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment.
