An inclusive and forward-thinking school in Reading is seeking a creative and driven Art Teacher to inspire students and nurture creative confidence from September 2025. The school has invested significantly in arts education and encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration and community involvement in its creative work.
The Role
You will deliver an engaging Art and Design curriculum to students across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for the right candidate. Your teaching will support creative risk-taking, personal expression, and skill development across various media. You’ll also lead extracurricular opportunities and contribute to whole-school art events and exhibitions.
Key responsibilities include:

Teaching a range of artistic techniques and supporting portfolio preparation

Encouraging experimentation across traditional and digital media
*
Creating opportunities for students to exhibit work and engage in local arts projects
*
Working collaboratively with a strong Creative Arts team
Ideal Candidate

Qualified Art Teacher with QTS and a degree in Fine Art, Visual Arts, or similar
*
Able to plan rich, inspiring schemes of work and nurture creative potential
*
Committed to inclusive teaching and differentiation

Enthusiastic about contributing to school life beyond the classroom
