GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join a welcoming school in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to nurture artistic talent, promote visual literacy, and guide students in developing both their skills and confidence through artistic exploration.
Role Overview:
As an Art Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages, using a variety of traditional and digital media. You will help students understand the value of art in personal and cultural expression while fostering a classroom environment that encourages experimentation and individuality.
Responsibilities as an Art Teacher:
Teach the Art curriculum in a dynamic, engaging, and inclusive manner.
Introduce students to a variety of techniques, materials, and artistic styles.
Support students in building portfolios and preparing for assessments and exhibitions.
Create a supportive, inspiring classroom environment that encourages self-expression.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and school art projects and displays.
Requirements for the Art Teacher role:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
A degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related subject.
Experience teaching Art in a UK school setting.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A passion for creativity and promoting artistic exploration.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
