The Role -Art Teacher
We are seeking a passionate Art Teacher to join a dynamic PRU in Lewisham. The school caters to secondary-aged students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion due to behavioural and emotional challenges. As an Art Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students express themselves creatively while re-engaging with education in a nurturing and structured environment.
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Art lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH, often working with small groups and using therapeutic approaches to learning.
This role is ideal for someone with strong behaviour management skills, a creative mindset, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
The School – PRU
Located in Lewisham, this Pupil Referral Unit provides a supportive and inclusive environment for students aged 11–16. The school has a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, personalised learning, and reintegration into mainstream education where possible. Staff are well-supported by experienced leadership and access to ongoing professional development.
