Job Description

We are currently working with a secondary school in Northampton seeking an Art & Design Technology Technician to support their busy and creative department. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting practical lessons across Art and DT.

🛠️ The Role:

  * Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for Art and DT lessons

  * Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions

  * Maintaining tools, machinery, and classroom resources

  * Ensuring workshops and classrooms are clean, organised, and safe

  * Assisting with stock control and ordering supplies

  * Supporting displays and preparation of student work where required

👤 What We’re Looking For:

  * Previous experience in a school, workshop, or similar environment (desirable)

  * Practical skills (e.g. woodwork, textiles, art materials, basic machinery use)

  * Strong organisation and attention to detail

  * Awareness of health & safety procedures

  * A proactive and reliable approach
