Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £42k + Training & Benefits
Our client has recently expanded their client base in the North East of England, and now require an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join their team. Applicants must be able to hit the ground running, so it is essential to have existing industry experience. You will be joining a national outfit, with a growing client portfolio, who offer a wide variety of environmental compliance services. Applicants will need to have a professional manner and will need to be open to travel when required by new client contracts. The successful candidate can expect attractive salaries and comprehensive benefits packages, including: overtime opportunities, training, pension scheme and company vehicle.
You will be travelling across: Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Blaydon, Prudhoe, Stanley, Consett, Chester-le-Street, Houghton le Spring, Sunderland, Washington, Seaham, Murton, Hartlepool, Spennymoor, Bishop Auckland, Stanhope, Hexham, Morpeth, Blyth, Whitley Bay, Cramlington, Darlington, Middlesborough, Redcar, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Yarm, Thornaby.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Successful record working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
- Will have worked within a UKAS accredited company
- Working knowledge of HSG 264 and 248 guidelines
- Qualified with the BOHS P402, P403 and P404, or RSPH equivalents
- Able to travel as required
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Hardworking and adaptable nature
The Role:
- Conducting management, refurbishment, demolition and re-inspection asbestos surveys
- Undertaking 4 stage clearances
- Carrying out background, smoke, leak, personal and reassurance air testing
- Producing detailed technical reports
- Meeting with clients to discuss findings and to make recommendations
- Attending a variety of asbestos removal sites
- Collecting samples from site for analysis
- Adhering to strict deadlines and targets
- Maintaining excellent customer service levels
