Salary/Benefits: £25k - £42k + Training & Benefits
A UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor in the North East region of England. You will be joining a national player, who are well-known within the industry and have a busy client portfolio. Candidates must be able to demonstrate robust technical knowledge as well as hands-on asbestos surveying experience, ideally across a wide variety of sites within the region. There are great opportunities for further training, in addition to competitive salaries and benefits packages.
Our client can consider candidates who reside around: Newcastle upon Tyne, Hebburn, Gateshead, Prudhoe, Ponteland, Cramlington, Whitley Bay, Blyth, North Shields, South Shields, Sunderland, Washington, Chester-le-Street, Stanley, Houghton le Spring, Coxhoe, Crook, Spennymoor, Bishop Auckland, Darlington, Barnard Castle, Middlesborough, Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool, Yarm, Redcar.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS accredited company
- Must be qualified with the BOHS P402, or RSPH equivalent
- Fully conversant in UKAS and HSG 264 guidelines
- Good literacy and IT skills
- Able to travel in line with company requirements
The Role:
- Undertaking the full range of management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
- Safely collecting samples from client sites
- Creating detailed survey reports, including schematic drawings / floorplans
- Adhering to industry compliance and safety guidelines, such as: correct PPE use
- Meeting / exceeding personal targets
- Working across a range of domestic, commercial and local authority client sites
- Maintaining strong technical knowledge
