Job Description
Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Derby, East Midlands
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £42k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a UKAS accredited Asbestos consultancy, with a growing presence in the Midlands region. They are seeking a qualified Asbestos Surveyor who can hit the ground running and successfully service a range of commercial and domestic contracts. You will be joining a well-known name within the Environmental Compliance sector, who are able to offer further training and the opportunity to gain further P certificates / modules. Locations of work include: Derby, Nottingham, Beeston, Long Eaton, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Leicester, Coalville, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Mansfield, Matlock, Burton upon Trent, Swadlincote, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Hinckley, Tamworth, Polesworth, Lichfield, Burntwood, Cannock, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Royal Leamington Spa, Rugby, Northampton, Daventry, Redditch.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must hold the BOHS P402, or RSPH equivalent
- Proven experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor, ideally within a UKAS accredited company
- Fully conversant in industry technical guidelines, i.e. HSG 264
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Experienced in producing site-specific reports, using IT software
- Hardworking attitude
The Role:
- Attending a mixed portfolio of commercial and domestic client sites to undertake asbestos surveys
- Conducting management, refurbishment, demolition and re-inspection surveys
- Collecting ACM samples from client premises
- Working to agreed deadlines
- Contacting clients to arrange site access
- Meeting clients to discuss findings and to give technical advice
- Ensuring to wear correct PPE at all times
- Representing the company in a professional manner
