The Role – ASD Teaching Assistant
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will support students across KS1–KS4 with autism spectrum disorder and associated needs, including communication difficulties, sensory sensitivities, and learning delays. You will provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, using structured approaches such as PECS, Makaton, or TEACCH (experience with these is highly desirable). You must be patient, consistent, and proactive in promoting engagement and independence in a classroom setting.
