About the Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant Work within small, ability-based classes (typically 6-8 students) Support students aged 4-19 with a range of SEMH and autism-related needs Collaborate closely with therapists, SEN specialists, and mental health professionals Deliver targeted interventions to help pupils overcome academic and emotional barriers Provide consistent, nurturing support as a trusted role model What We're Looking For A graduate in Psychology or Criminology (or similar field) Genuine passion for working with young people and supporting mental health Interest in a long-term career in educational psychology, mental health, or SEN support Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships Ability to commute daily to Kempston Key Responsibilities Assist in the academic and personal development of students with diverse learning needs Support the implementation of individual education plans and behavioural strategies Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and external professionals Promote student engagement, emotional regulation, and resilience Why This Role?
