Education & Training - Guildford - Aspiring Criminal Justice Practitioner
Responsibilities:
A Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) supports students who face behavioral or emotional challenges. They help with learning, manage behavior, and provide emotional support. LSAs assist with personalized education plans, foster a safe environment, and guide students in developing life skills and coping strategies.
Support and implement behavior plans.
Monitor, record, and report on behaviors.
Assist in de-escalating crises and managing challenging behaviors.
Collaborate with staff on behavior strategies.
Encourage positive social skills and behaviors.
Maintain confidentiality and participate in training.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with students.
Patient, empathetic, and resilient in the face of challenges.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
