Aspiring Youth Justice Worker – Learning Support Assistant
Pay: £101.40 to £119 per day
Days: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

About the Role:
Do you have a passion for helping young people make positive choices?
This Learning Support Assistant role is ideal for an Aspiring Youth Justice Worker looking to support students with SEMH needs. You’ll be part of a specialist team focused on empowering pupils to build resilience, confidence, and brighter futures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring support.
- Implement behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
- Encourage engagement, attendance, and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
What We’re Looking For:
- Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Youth & Community Work, or related fields.
- Non-graduates with relevant experience in youth work, mentoring, or social care are also encouraged to apply.
- A strong interest in working with young people who are at risk of entering the criminal justice system.
- Sincerity is key – what drives you, and why do you want to support some of the most vulnerable children in society?
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
- Experience (voluntary or paid) with vulnerable young people, SEMH, or youth offending (desirable but not essential—full training provided).
