Job Title: Assembler / CNC Inspector Location: Gloucester Pay Range: £30,000 Contract Type: Perm Our client, a leading manufacturer of bespoke precision components, is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Assembler / CNC Inspector to join their manufacturing team. This dual-role position requires hands-on assembly of precision components, as well as inspection and quality control of CNC-machined parts using various measurement tools and inspection equipment. The ideal candidate will have a background in both assembly and inspection within a manufacturing environment, with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities – Assembler/ CNC inspector Assemble plastic components and subassemblies according to drawings & work instructions. Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures to ensure precise and consistent builds. Perform in-process checks to ensure parts are properly aligned and assembled. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards. Record completed work in production documentation or ERP system. Inspect CNC-machined parts using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and optical comparators. Assemble and build plastics components Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections. Qualifications & Requirements – Assembler/ CNC inspector 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly and/or CNC part inspection. Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards (preferred). Ability to read and understand work instructions and technical documentation. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems). Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Lift and carry parts or tools up to 40 lbs. Knowledge of CNC machining processes and tolerances.
