Assembly Engineer
Poole, Dorset

Our client who specialises in Precision Engineering, is looking for a skilled Assembly Engineer to join their growing team!
Assembly Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions and established procedures
* Familiar with Staking Bearings, Heli-Coils, Valve Assembly, Beading using sealants such as PR1770
* Competent with self-inspection and testing of finished products
* Ensure all assembled components meet the required specifications and quality standards
* Assemble in accordance with kit Kanban requirements
* Identify and rectify any assembly defects
* Maintain a clean and organised work area (5C)
* Follow all safety regulations and procedures
* Assist with the maintenance of assembly tools and equipment
* Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effective
* Carry out Bearing and bush assembly, Lee plug and helicoid inserts, Valves assembly [valve seats] and Fasteners/wire locking/beading
* Self-inspection and testing of finished product
The ideal Assembly Engineer will:
* Proven experience as an Assembler or similar role within an engineering environment
* A strong understanding of mechanical assembly principles and able to read 2D drawings
* Be familiar with sub-assembly of machines components to aerospace requirements i.e: Staking Bearings, Heli-Coils and Valve Assembly
* Experience of pressure testing would be advantageous
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to remain focused on highly detailed work and remain accurate
* Fluency in written and spoken English required
* Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline is desirable, but not necessary (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering)
