Assembly Engineer
Location: Poole
Salary: £14.00 – £16.50 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
A precision engineering company in Poole is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in sub-assembly of machined components to aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical components to exacting aerospace requirements
Perform tasks such as:
Staking bearings
Installing Heli-Coils
Valve assembly
Beading using aerospace-grade sealants (e.g., PR1770)
Self-inspect and test completed assemblies
Interpret 2D engineering drawings and follow assembly instructions and techniques accurately
Requirements:
Proven experience in mechanical assembly, ideally within an aerospace or precision engineering environment
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
Experience with pressure testing is advantageous but not essential
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
