Are you an Assembly Fitter who takes pride in building and repairing parts that actually keep aircraft flying? We are looking for an Assembly Fitter to join a respected aerospace company on a contract basis, working on flight-critical components where your skill and precision make a real difference.
You will be the Assembly Fitter trusted to strip, inspect, rebuild, and test a wide range of parts, including mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and electro-mechanical units. It’s hands-on work with clear processes, technical manuals to follow, and quality standards that matter.
Day to day
As the Assembly Fitter, you will:
Interpret Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins and technical data.
Carry out preliminary inspections including diagnostic tests, disassembly, cleaning and detailed component checks.
Identify parts and materials required for the job.
Rebuild and test units to drawing and manual requirements.
Complete paperwork that matches the work, keeping everything compliant.
Hit delivery schedules and maintain tidy working practices.
What you need
You are an Assembly Fitter with experience in fault finding, strip and inspection, repair, and test of aerospace or similar high-precision assemblies.
Confident using manuals, drawings and regulator-approved data.
Comfortable with diagnostic work and hands-on rebuilds.
Organised, methodical, and calm under pressure.
Security clearance eligibility and drug testing acceptance are required.
Apprenticeship training will put you at a higher rate of pay.
