Assembly Operative – Denham
Salary: £29,000–£30,000 + comprehensive benefits
A precision engineering manufacturer in Denham is looking for an Assembly Operative to join their fitting department. This role involves working as part of a production team to assemble and inspect complex mechanical sub-assemblies that form part of safety-critical equipment.
Role Overview
You’ll be responsible for:
Assembling and inspecting a variety of mechanical sub-assemblies such as retraction units and deployment units.
Using engineering drawings, build plans and test procedures to assemble and verify components.
Building kits of parts to specification using hand tools and assembly equipment.
Inspecting and testing components to tight tolerances using gauges and automated inspection equipment.
Completing first-off and final inspections in line with internal quality standards.
What We're Looking For
Experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Able to read and work from engineering drawings.
Familiarity with hand tools, gauges and basic inspection methods.
Understanding of general health and safety practices.
Experience in assembly, fitting or inspection would be highly beneficial.
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
