Job Description
Skilled Operative
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a creative design and manufacturing company that produces bespoke projects for a wide range of industries across the UK.
This is a hands-on role where you will be a key part of a small, dedicated production team, building high-quality structures and components using timber and other materials.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Pay: £12.50 – £14.00 per hour
The Role:
As a Skilled Operative, you will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of a variety of products. Working mainly in the factory, you will occasionally support installation and maintenance work on site.
Key responsibilities include:

Manufacturing and assembling components using timber, foam, and other materials
*
Confident use of hand and power tools such as jigsaws, drills, routers, and nail/staple guns
*
Assisting with both manual and CNC-assisted cutting processes
*
Following build instructions to ensure quality and safety standards are met
*
Working as part of a small, supportive team to meet project deadlines
About You:
*
Experience in timber construction or a similar practical role is preferred
*
Ability to work with hand and power tools safely and confidently
*
Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
*
Welding experience would be an advantage (not essential)
*
Willingness to learn and adapt through on-the-job training
