Assembly Operative – Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: Denham
Salary: £29,000–£30,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Mon–Thurs: 08:00–17:00 | Fri: 08:00–12:00
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
The Role
A well-established aerospace manufacturer is looking to add an experienced Assembly Operative to its production team. This role involves assembling high-precision aerospace components using approved processes, working to tight tolerances, and ensuring all builds meet exact engineering and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble components using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and riveting equipment (solid and blind rivets).
Work accurately from engineering drawings and build specifications.
Carry out bonding work using adhesives such as Araldite and Loctite, including rubber, plastic, and fabric components.
Conduct sealing, joining and installation of inserts (e.g. Helicoil).
Use measuring equipment to verify dimensions and record inspection results clearly.
Follow all aerospace quality, safety, and documentation procedures.
Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, organised work area.
About You
Experience in an engineering or manufacturing assembly role, ideally within aerospace or another precision industry.
Confident interpreting engineering drawings and working to specification.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, rivet installation, bonding products, and thread retaining compounds.
Able to use inspection tools, gauges, and work with jigs and fixtures accurately.
Methodical, quality-focused, and able to work as part of a close-knit team.
