Job Description

Admissions and Assessment Coordinator Family Residential Service – South Yorkshire The charity is seeking a motivated Admissions and Assessment Coordinator to join our Family Residential Service in Sheffield. Our service provides vital drug and alcohol recovery support for parents and their children in a safe and supportive residential setting. This is a full-time role (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm), based at our Family Residential Service. You will also participate in an on-call rota to support staff and ensure consistent service delivery. Flexible working will be considered. Our service is located in South Yorkshire, with excellent transport links. Housed in a large Victorian building refurbished in 2022, the site offers free onsite parking and is easily accessible by multiple bus routes. The Role We are looking for someone who is compassionate, empowering, and committed to supporting families to make positive changes in their drug and alcohol recovery journeys. Key responsibilities include: Managing all service enquiries and referrals, completing comprehensive needs and risk assessments. Working with the Residential Manager to make informed placement decisions for individuals with multiple needs. Welcoming new residents and ensuring their needs are supported from the moment they arrive. Overseeing data management for referrals and assessments and ensuring safe, compliant admissions processes. Building and maintaining strong relationships with referrers and stakeholders. Although the service operates 24/7, this role is weekday-based, with flexibility available. About You Experience working with individuals and families with complex needs, including addiction, and an understanding of residential rehabilitation. Skilled in developing and managing relationships with multiple stakeholders. Confident in completing robust assessments and risk management plans. Positive, innovative, and highly motivated—capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
