Job Title: Assessor/Trainer – Electrical Installations
Salary: £31,110 – £36,157 per annum
Location: Cambridge
We are currently recruiting for a motivated and experienced Assessor/Trainer in Electrical Installations to join a leading Further Education provider’s Construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled industry professional who is passionate about developing apprentices and supporting the next generation of electrical engineers.

About the Role In this role, you will oversee a caseload of electrical apprentices, guiding them throughout their learning journey. You will play a key part in developing their knowledge, skills, and behaviours, ensuring they are fully prepared for successful End Point Assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering high-quality training and ongoing learner support
Conducting workplace assessments and progress reviews
Monitoring and recording apprentice progress
Preparing learners for End Point Assessment
Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers
Supporting business development initiatives
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and Health & Safety
Maintaining accurate documentation and recordsThe role offers flexible working arrangements, including a blend of on-site delivery, workplace visits, and remote administrative work.
What We’re Looking For To be successful, candidates should have:
A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Domestic and Commercial Electrical Installation
Substantial, relevant industry experience
Assessor and/or IQA qualifications (desirable)
Previous experience in teaching or assessing
Strong understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA processes
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Confident IT skills and use of digital systems
A flexible and collaborative approach to work
