Asset Engineer - Built Infrastructure

Humber region- Commutable from Hull, Immingham, Grimsby

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asset Engineer to join a well-established and growing organisation, playing a key role in the management and development of critical infrastructure assets across the Humber region.

Are you a Civil or Structural Engineer with experience in infrastructure assets? Are you looking to work on large-scale, technically interesting projects with long-term career progression?

This well-established, reputable company have multiple sites across the UK and are widely regarded as a leading brand. Business has increased and due to the continued growth plans; this market leader is continuing to invest heavily in its asset base. They are looking to recruit an Asset Engineer to support the lifecycle management of key built infrastructure assets, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.

In this role, you will support the full lifecycle of assets including inspections, assessments, maintenance planning, and investment decisions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and consultants, providing technical expertise across a diverse portfolio including marine structures, bridges, and heavy civil infrastructure.

The Role:

Supporting lifecycle management of built infrastructure assets across the Humber region
Undertaking and reviewing inspections, surveys, and structural assessments
Identifying defects, assessing risk, and developing remedial work packages
Providing technical input into maintenance planning, investment strategies, and asset improvement projects
Carrying out minor civil/structural design work and technical calculations
Working closely with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure effective delivery
£65,000- £70,000 + Development + Progression + Excellent BenefitsThe Person:

Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and asset management
Experience with infrastructure assets such as bridges, marine structures, or heavy civil works
Ability to interpret technical reports, inspections, and engineering data
Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. Eurocodes, CDM regulations)
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
