Asset Engineer (Drainage)
Contract: 6 months
Location: Kent & Sussex
£446 per day
We’re seeking an experienced Asset Engineer (Drainage) to support drainage asset management and maintenance activities across the Southern Region.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring drainage assets are effectively examined, evaluated, and maintained to meet safety and operational standards.
Working Pattern: Minimum 2 days per week in London office or equivalent site visits
Essential Skills & Experience
* HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Proven experience in drainage or hydrology, ideally within infrastructure or rail environments.
* Strong knowledge of drainage policies, standards, and maintenance practices.
* Understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.
* Awareness of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
* Working towards professional membership with a relevant institution.
* PTS and Health & Safety Sentinel competencies required.
Desirable
* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.
* Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
