Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Asset Management Lead to join a well-established housing provider in the Scottish Borders.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Asset Management function, ensuring homes are maintained to a high standard and investment programmes are delivered effectively. You'll manage a small team of Asset Managers and oversee the delivery of both capital and revenue programmes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while providing value for money.
Key responsibilities include:
.Developing and implementing long-term investment programmes (5-30 years)
.Leading on contract management and procurement to achieve efficiency and effectiveness
.Managing budgets and delivering high-quality services within agreed resources
.Working collaboratively with Repairs, Compliance, Finance, and Neighbourhood teams
.Driving continuous improvement across the asset function
Candidate Requirements
.3-5 years' experience in asset management and property maintenance (with at least 3 years at manager level)
.Professional membership such as MIAM, MRICS, RIBA, or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
.Strong experience in contractor management and asset investment programme delivery
.Knowledge of housing/property regulations including SHQS and EESSH
.Excellent leadership and communication skills
.A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Travel & Location
The position is based in the Scottish Borders (Duns area). While hybrid/agile working is available, candidates should note that:
On-site presence will be required around 2-3 days per week
From Glasgow, the commute is approximately a two-hour drive each way.
