Responsibilities
Assist in conducting environmental and building acoustic surveys, including noise impact assessments.
Support senior consultants during site visits by setting up sound level meters, microphones, and vibration equipment.
Undertake noise monitoring and data logging under supervision.
Download, organise, and analyse acoustic data using specialist software and spreadsheets.
Create basic figures, charts, and supporting documents for technical reports.
Prepare draft reports and technical summaries for review by senior team members.
Learn and adhere to relevant standards and guidance, such as BS 8233 and BS 4142.
Maintain and calibrate acoustic equipment as directed.
Participate in training and development programmes, including day-release study if pursuing a relevant qualification.
Demonstrate a willingness to develop technical knowledge and understanding of acoustic principles.
Qualifications
Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
No prior acoustic experience required, though it is desirable.
Backgrounds in engineering, construction, or surveying are encouraged to apply.
